Tacoma Short Bed Sleeping Platform

Im 5 9 and hoping i can sleep diagonally across the bed on a platform built above the wheel wells.

Just a quick questions in regards to sleeping in a short bed does anyone not use a bed tent or bed cap when camping. A day and a half later owen and i became the proud new owners of the 2008 tacoma you see above.
